HERRHAMMER wick insert machines are used amongst other to glue wicks into tealight cups made of aluminum or plastic. As a rule a multitude of wick insert machines are used in series in tealight molding plants.
Tealight containers are oriented correctly via a large storage vessel into a shell sorter and transported to the respective wick insert machine using a conveyor belt system. An intelligent inlet rail is used to feed the tealight cups clocked to the wicking station.
Parallel to this, waxed wick is reeled off wick drums, threaded in wick sustainers and crimped tension-proofed with a hammer or tongs. The wick sustainers are inserted in a storage vessel and transported to a prepared tealight vessel using an automated sorting and conveyor system. Product-specific tools which can be quickly changed as well as a recipe memory in the user interface enable quick and easy product changes.
A hot melt system with contactless applicator ensures precise and process-safe glue application. Freely adjustable parameters allow the production to be adapted to a wide range of requirements as well as the use of all common adhesives.
Using a color touchscreen with an intuitive user interface, intelligent sensor technology and cutting-edge servo technology, Herrhammer wick insert machines offer maximum operator friendliness and maximum flexibility. Automatic fault correction reduces required operator invention to a minimum and automatically sorts out defective products.
